FAQ’s

Does it hurt?

Numbing cream will be applied during the treatment for a comfortable experience. Minimal pain.

How long will the appointment take?

It takes approximately 2 hours. During this time, a consultation is done where we will discuss your skin type, shape, draw your shape and discuss a color tone. We will not start until you are completely satisfied with the shape.

How long does it last?

Up to 2-5 years depending on your skin type, facial regimen, sun exposure and lifestyle. For oily skin, the color may fade faster. Since this is a semi-permanent procedure, it will fade over time. An annual color boost (touch-up) is recommended to keep the results in shape, nice, crisp and fresh.

How long does it take to heal?

Usually 7-14 days depending on your lifestyle, skin type and aftercare. All cosmetic procedures will appear darker on initial completion, however once healed it will soften and lighten to its desired color.

When do I come back for my touch up?

Touch up session is 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. This session is not mandatory but recommended to lock in the color, shape and to make any minor adjustments.

Who can get this done?

Anyone who is NOT under the age of 18, pregnant/nursing, diabetic, eczema around the brow areas, have any illnesses or conditions, skin disease and sick/ill.

Can I bring someone to my appointment?

Due to the nature of the service and Covid-19 guidelines, additional guests or pets will not be permitted to accompany you during the appointment. Any additional guest will be asked to wait in the car. Please plan accordingly.

Before your appointment (brows):

3 weeks before your appointment – no Retin A, botox, suntan/sunburn, chemical peels or microdermabrasion.

5-7 days  before your appointment – please avoid eyebrows waxing, eyebrows threading or eyebrows tinting. (Tweezing is fine but not necessary as the artist will shape them for you)

1 day before your appointment – please avoid blood thinners, aspirin, advil, aleeve, ibuprofen, motrin, niacin and drinking alcohol.

On the day of your appointment – please avoid all of the above listed, coffee, caffeine, energy drinks, sauna, working out, and tanning.

You may wear make up or draw on your brows to your appointment.

Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes late. Clients who arrives late may have their appointment cancelled or rescheduled to another date. Another deposit will have to be made to schedule another appointment. Please call or text if you are running late.

Right after your procedure:

Your results will look dark, thick, bold, swelling, red and/or sore. This is a fresh tattoo so it will look this way at first. Not everyone will look dark at first. It depends on your skin type. If you have sensitive skin, it will probably look red for a few hours after and will subside. Please plan big events accordingly.

When healed in about 7-14 days, the color will lighten 30% and the thickness will shrink slightly. Redness, swelling and soreness usually subsides within 24 hours.

In a few days (depending on your skin type), it will began to crack, flake, peel and itch. Do not pick, scratch or rub the treated areas. Let it shed naturally. Picking at it will result in uneven and blotchy areas.

Please be very patient. It takes time to see results.

Aftercare instructions will be given to you at your appointment.

Please remember that all cosmetic service can never be perfectly symmetrical. This is not an exact science, but an art.

Results may vary depending on your age, daily facial regimens, skin type, lifestyle and aftercare.

What to avoid after the procedure?

For the first 7 days – avoid make up (foundation and makeup pencil) on the area, working out, excessive sweating, hot tubs, sauna, hiking and direct sun. Following aftercare is very important for the best results. Failure to do so will result in poor pigment retention, fading, uneven and blotchy results.

For the next 30 days – avoid direct sun exposure, tanning, sunbathing, light therapies, chemical peels, facial treatments, microdermabrasion and laser treatments.

Always protect the treated area from the sun with SPF (just not during the first 14 days). Wear a hat when outdoors.

Cover Ups/Corrections (existing brow tattoo):

If your eyebrows have been previously microbladed or tattooed and would like cover up done, the eyebrows has to be faded in order to proceed. Reshaping is very limited and you may have to go darker and thicker.

For color correction or cover ups, please email or text a clear picture of the front and side views of your eyebrows without make up.
